>> we began in wisconsin where three people were found dead tonight after a shooting inside a salon. we learn the man police said pulled the trigger is also dead. according to authorities in milwaukee, a domestic dispute led a mentor should a total of seven people inside a day spa. during the search in the hours after the shooting, the bomb squad was called out and found an improvised explosive device at the scene. witnesses described what they saw outside the salon in the moments after the shooting. >> we saw some woman crawl out of the front door and rolled down the hill. the cops had scooped her up and taken her right over to the

ambulance and taken off with her. we heard a loud shriek, and we saw them picking up another woman and taking her over to the ambulance. after that, we saw about 10 people leave with their arms of. >> her body was found inside the salon. the shooting comes six months after the deadly shooting rampage inside a sikh temple nearby. at a time when presidential politics is at the forefront of the national conversation comes word tonight that senator george mcgovern has passed away. mcgovern ran for president twice. during his career, the senator was not afraid to speak his mind at all. >> george mcgovern was one of the most outspoken opponents of the vietnam war, and tonight he has been remembered for the

impact he had on american politics. >> george mcgovern passed away early sunday morning at the age of 90. he is remembered as a proud liberal. mcgovern represented south dakota in both the house and senate. he also served in world war ii, a dedicated bomber pilot. he would go on to be one of the first to speak out against the u.s. involvement in the vietnam war. former new mexico governor bill richardson spoke today about mcgovern's impact on our country. demi -- >> very sad. i think he will be remembered for his contributions on agriculture, on hunger, and then the democratic party. he transformed the party, the primary system, getting minorities involved. >> most people remember mcgovern for his run for president in 1972 against president richard nixon. among the missteps in his campaign, mcgovern was forced to dump his running mate thomas eagleton after it was learned he

had a history of psychic -- psychiatric problems. nixon won by a landslide. mcgovern ran again in 1984 but dropped out because of poor primary showings. his words from that campaign still resonate today. >> the question is not -- are we better off than we were four years ago? the question is -- where will america be four years from now? school senior. police will talk with drivers and pedestrians along central avenue to see if they remember anything unusual that happened on the morning of september 11 when ross was shot and killed as he walked to central high school in capitol heights. the number of students in fairfax county public schools who are homeless is likely to top 2500 the school year. this is according to a report today in the "washington post." the article indicates the increase in students from kindergarten to high school is directly related to the impact of the recession. the report goes on to say this year's total will be 10 times the number of homeless students in county schools than there were just 15 years ago. we sit -- we switch gears now and the redskins faced the giants, and it came down to the bitter end. >> arthur morris again, over 100
